You don't count. We know you're special.
I would get 35mpg out of mine without too much hassle on the motorway, I used to get 28mpg pottering around the island.

Good to see you this morning Davie. Glad to hear that you had a good trip back and hoping you can now have plenty of fun with that special car.

Good to see you and Mrs Bill. I enjoyed the chat. The towbar will get wire brushed and fitted in the near future. It's not a priority right now, I've got a Nissan micra to get a quick service for a good friend, hoping it starts better, and my daughters astra to get through its mot, I know it needs a replacement strut. O the joys of family and friends, but it's what we do.

The 1.9d is even cheaper and easier. Need to sort the smoke out off boost though!

It's probably not that from factory as it runs warmer now and isn't very economical

Well a couple of days since I got home and I'm still suffering from the trip, which should have been done over more days than 2. If I had stayed over at another two places I may have been ok and not still be suffering just now, thinking about going to deliver food when I'm still in recovery mode. However needs must so off I go then. I will just say a huge thank you to Jim for doing the job, to the other members of team WFA whom I haven't even met for the it assistance when Jim got stuck, to Mike for picking me up at the airport and running me to Jim's and refusing to take a penny for his fuel or the 7 quid he paid for parking, to Bill for giving me a towbar which was lying in his garage and also not taking a penny for it. Also to all the others who contributed in any way and for offers of help that weren't taken up. I always knew that this forum, and the people on it was good, but it's better than good. You are all bloody amazing! It's a pity I am so geographically challenged, but anyone that's needs help way up here pleas feel free to ask and anything I can do I shall do my best to help. Within reason of course [emoji23] [emoji23]

Right off for a shower then it's time [emoji488] [emoji487] [emoji489] [emoji4]

This is why I love this forum. Not only do the members help each other out, but they also show their appreciation when they do.

Indeed James, we all muck in where we can. It's all about what it's all about...

Davie, it's amazing you did it in two days... it would have killed me for sure..

Recover well and I hope you're back on top form very, very soon!

I'm at work now, at least there are two drivers on. Expecting to get busy because of the weather.
I always give credit when credit is due. I'm quick enough about criticizing something that upsets me, so I have to praise also. And be able to take it when I'm due it, both ways mwhaaahaaha

I'm sure he'd have taken it if he weren't in shock from seeing a Porridge-Wog get their wallet out, never mind actually open the thing!

I think the sassenach southerner was feart that if he dared to take money off a Scotsman then his house would have got burgled and burnt down and his throat cut. But I'm more civilized than that I had chased, caught and eaten my live haggiss for breakfast so was in an unusually gentle mood.
